That Tom Hanks boat trip with Oprah Winfrey, Bruce Springsteen and the Obamas - what could go wrong?

The world collectively lost their minds when they realised Tom Hanks, Oprah Winfrey, Bruce Springsteen and the Obamas went on a luxury cruise in Tahiti earlier this month.

One could only imagine the conversations the former President of the USA and First Lady had with one of the world's best talk show hosts, actors and musicians.

But, none of them were willing to spill the beans on the exclusive hangout.

When Oprah was questioned by People about what exactly went down on the ultra-luxe yacht cruise, she bluntly replied: "I can't talk about it, I can't talk about it!"

"What happens on the boat, stays on the boat," she added.

But Hanks has revealed some of the details about what went on.

Their gathering on the 137 metre yacht, which is appropriately named The Rising Sun and the 11th largest yacht in the world, apparently continued onto the French Polynesian islands.

And, that's exactly where the trouble started.

Speaking to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, the actor revealed the famous group decided to rent bikes one day and sightsee the shore.

"I'll tell you what happened to little Tommy Hanks on that trip ... They call a guy who says he can rent bikes for everybody, so we go on shore and yes, there's an array of bicycles that have been procured for us. Rented from all corners of Poylnesia, they've all come," he said.

"Then, everyone gets on their bikes. There were some great bikes there, there were some fine and dandy bikes and then there was one piece of junk, hunk of junk bike.

"Who do you think got the hunk of junk bike? The secret service guys hopped on these perfect bikes, they're all gone, Oprah's gone and I have a bike that you couldn't deliver newspapers with," he added.

"It was an undersized girls bike. It was rusted, like all over ... and it only had one gear ... It was miserable, miserable. I'd rather go back and get Legionnaires' disease on that boat," he added.

Despite Hanks' hilarious story about his terrible bike and all jokes aside, the actor couldn't help gushing about the experience as a whole.

"Imagine what it could've been like, then triple it. It was off the scale fantastic," he admitted.
