That Sex and the City feud just escalated even further

Sunshine and roses on the set of Sex and the City? Not so much.

There's simply no end in sight to the fallout from the failed Sex And The City 3 movie, which was declared dead in the water this week after reports of failed negotiations with one of its stars.

After Kim Cattrall branded co-star Sarah Jessica Parker "toxic", Willie Garson - who played Carrie's gay best friend Stanford Blatch throughout the series - weighed in on the drama with a scathingly sarcastic tweet.

Dear fans, because I'm "toxic", I'm going to negotiate a contract for 6 months, not come to terms, then say I never wanted to do it anyway.

When a fan replied urging the cast to go on without Cattrall, he was very firm in his response.

It was a clear dig at Cattrall, who this week has denied claims she pulled out of filming at the eleventh hour and insisted she told producers she didn't want to do the movie a year ago.

That's despite widespread reports that the actress, who played Samantha Jones, called a halt to production just days before shooting was scheduled to get underway, as a result of her demands not being met by the studio.

When news first broke, Garson pointed the finger of blame firmly at Cattrall in a since-deleted tweet, saying simply, "Sadly, the reasons are true" alongside a link to an article that claimed she had sunk the deal.

After Parker told a reporter that she was "disappointed" at the outcome, Cattral lashed out at her former co-star in a UK interview for Piers Morgan's Life Stories, saying, "I don't know what her problem is, I never have."
