Spider-Man is not in the new Avengers film says director Joss Whedon.
Director Joss Whedon says a scene leaked on the internet purporting to be from his upcoming movie Avengers: Age Of Ultron is a fake.
The real deal hits New Zealand theatres tonight, ahead of its US release next week.
A clip which was reportedly taped at an advanced screening of
the superhero movie emerged online over the weekend.
But Whedon insists the post-credits scene, which features Spider-Man, is a hoax.
"Yeah that's not real. I don't know where that started. It's not in fact part of the movie and I don't know who came up with it," he said.
