Taylor Swift nearly chops off her thumb

Taylor Swift has got into some bad blood with a kitchen knife after she almost cut her thumb off.

The singer posted a photo of her hand showing her left thumb covered in a bandage.

Swift captioned the photo, "Band-Aids don't fix kitchen knife-related injuries" - a play on her Bad Blood hit lyrics: "Band-Aids don't fix bullet holes."

Swift also drew her lucky number 13 on the white band-aid.

In an interview with In Style magazine, Swift explained why the number is so special to her.

"Thirteen is my lucky number. I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first Number 1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I've been on awards show and won an award, I've seen 13 an uncanny amount of times that day. When I haven't won awards, I haven't seen 13 at all. The VMAs were on the 13th! I'm sorry-that's just funny."

Hopefully the cut wasn't too deep and won't affect the musician's guitar playing or her baking.
