In 1981, Te Arawa crooner Deane Waretini knocked John Lennon off the top of the pop charts with The Bridge, New Zealand's first te reo Maori No. 1.
Maori Television series Now is the Hour follows Dean as he makes the drive from his base inChristchurch to his old stomping ground of Rotorua in the hope of reinvigorating his pop prospects with a comeback concert organised by "musical media entrepreneur" Orlando Stewart.
For Talking Heads, Waretini and Stewart talked about having a "second bite of the cherry".
