The clocks have started ticking as the countdown begins to the new series of 24: Live Another Day, and to tease fans all the more Fox has released a trailer offering a tantalising taste of Jack Bauer's next adventure.
In an explosive 30-second clip, Kiefer Sutherland's action hero is caughtup in a transatlantic terror plot involving an assassination attempt on the fictional US President James Heller during a visit to Britain.
This time though, Bauer is in exile in London, and trying to avoid capture by the CIA, as he races against time to save the world in the space of 24 hours.
In new footage, audiences are given mere snippets featuring Bauer wearing his tradmark obligatory scowl as he shoves a gun in someone's face, kicks down a door and runs away from a fireball.
