Bündchen was married to Brady for 13 years, and they had two children Benjamin, aged 15, and Vivian, 12.
Gisele Bündchen and Joaquim Valente married in a private wedding earlier this month.
“This is the first time I am seeing someone who was a friend of mine first,” she told the New York Times in March 2024.
“It’s very different. It is very honest, and it’s very transparent.”
Bündchen denied rumours there was an overlap in her romance with Valente and her marriage.
“That is a lie, this is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labelled as being unfaithful,” she said.
News of the couple’s pregnancy broke in October 2024 with a friend telling People: “Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family”.
Bündchen told Vogue France earlier this year she was enjoying this new round of motherhood.
“Now that my little one is sleeping through the night, I’m back in control of my routine,” she said.
“As any new mom knows, it’s incredible how much sleep — or lack of it — can change everything!
“But once again, I feel truly grateful: being able to be home with my kids and enjoy every moment with them is priceless.”
