Taking to Instagram, the 27-year-old model, who has Palestinian heritage through her father, Mohamed Hadid’s side, condemned the violence on both sides, telling fans, “We are one, and God has created all equal. All bloodshed, tears, and bodies should be mourned with the same respect.”
The model’s father was born in Palestine to a Muslim family, but they were forced to flee in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. After finding refuge in Syria for a short time, Mohamed and his family relocated and settled in the United States where he went on to have Bella, her sisters, Marielle, 43, Alana, 38, Gigi, 28, and their brother, Anwar, 24.
Bella has over the years spoken out numerous times about the suffering of Palestinian people, confessing in her post that her words have often left her family facing “death threats” and made them feel “in danger”, she wrote, “I cannot be silenced any longer. Fear is not an option. The people and children of Palestine, especially in Gaza, cannot afford our silence.”

The high-profile model went on to say, “My heart is bleeding with pain from the trauma I am seeing unfold, as well as the generational trauma of my Palestinian blood. Seeing the aftermath from the airstrikes in Gaza, I mourn with all the mothers who have lost children and the children who cry alone, all the lost fathers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunties, friends that will never walk this earth again.”
She continued to say she mourns for the Israeli families “that have been dealing with the pain and aftermath of October 7th,” and confessed that regardless of the land’s history, she condemned the terrorist attacks on civilians.
“Harming women and children and inflicting terror does not and should not do any good for the Free Palestine movement,” she added, and clearly explained her view point that no child or person should be taken away from their family regardless of whether they are Israeli or Palestinian.
“It’s important to understand the hardship of what it is to be Palestinian, in a world that sees us as nothing more than terrorists resisting peace. It is harmful, it is shameful, and it is categorically untrue,” the model sternly stated.

Explaining her father and his family’s history as refugees, the model urged her fans to “stand together in defending humanity and compassion”. She also issued a message to world leaders asking them to do the same.
She signed off her post reminding fans of the real issue at hand, “there is an urgent humanitarian crisis in Gaza that must be attended to”, as “families need access to water and food” and “hospitals need fuel to power generators, tend to the wounded and keep people alive”.
“Wars have laws — and they must be upheld no matter what.”
Bella is not the only celebrity to speak out on the devastating war — Israeli actress Gal Gadot, who served in her country’s defence forces as a combat trainer several years ago, called for onlookers not to “sit on the fence” as hundreds are killed.
Madonna and Amy Schumer have also voiced their support for Israel.
