Money appeared to be no object at weathergirl Renee Wright's recent nuptials. There were two designer wedding dresses, five bridesmaids, a luxury lodge, champagne, diamonds, bouquets of lilies, a chandelier-laden marquee, individual gifts for guests and a lavish fireworks display.

Which made it all the more bizarre that the TVNZ starlet would call on New World in Porirua to bake her wedding cake.

The five-tiered fruit and banana cake with white chocolate frosting was a shout out to her folks, Warren and Marian, who shop there.
