In the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris, CBS says it will pull new episodes of Supergirl and NCIS: Los Angeles. The network didn't specify the reason, but the descriptions of both ring similar to the horrific killings in France that left 129 people dead.
The shows will stillair new episodes: Supergirl was supposed to be about the heroine, Kara, trying to stop a series of bombings; instead, the network will air its Thanksgiving-themed episode originally scheduled for November 23. NCIS: Los Angeles is also moving its November 23 show up a week; the episode centred on a girl recruited by a terrorist organisation.

There is no word on when the original episodes will air. This is standard practice when a TV show accidentally echoes a real-life tragedy: In August, USA's Mr. Robot was postponed a week when its season finale featured a graphic on-camera shooting, right after Virginia TV reporter Allison Parker and videographer Adam Ward were killed during a news report.
NBC also pulled an episode of Undateable to air live news coverage. U2 cancelled a Paris concert over the weekend that was going to air live on HBO.
Many in the entertainment industry spoke out in tribute to the victims of the Paris bombings, including Saturday Night Live, which opened with a message from Cecily Strong, repeated in English and French: "Paris is the city of light, and here in New York City, we know that light will never go out," she said. "Our love and support is with everyone there tonight. We stand with you."
Supergirl airs in New Zealand on TV2, Sundays at 7.30pm, while NCIS: LA airs on TV3, Tuesdays at 9.30pm.
