Star turns down explicit roles after Lovelace biopic

Amanda Seyfried has been receiving offers for pornographic work recently.

The 27-year-old actress portrays porn star Linda Lovelace in biopic Lovelace. The feature centres on Linda's life around the time she made controversial 1972 porn film Deep Throat.

Although Seyfried enjoyed playing an adult movie star onscreen, she cannot see herself performing sexual acts for a living in her real life.

"Yeah, someone did ask me if I was interested in doing porn and I was like, 'why would I do that?!'" she laughed to MTV News.

"I wanted to do an interview in Playboy because I think they do great interviews, but...it's ok!"

Seyfried previously stated that one of the most challenging parts about portraying Linda Lovelace actually had nothing to do with performing sex scenes.

The most frightening element in the whole situation to Seyfried is the possibility of her father seeing her naked in the film.

"I begged him to come and see it because I'm proud of it," she told Access Hollywood recently.

"I'm gonna sit next to him and literally shield him from the nudity. That's it. The violence I want him to watch.

"I want him to see everything except for my boobs - because that's just weird!"

Seyfried is currently on a promotional tour on Lovelace and last month during the New York City premiere things didn't go quite as planned. An over-eager fan seemingly thrust a pen into the blonde beauty's eye, leaving her reeling.

Lovelace also stars Sharon Stone and Chris Noth, with Sharon portraying Linda's mother.
