The wedding was pure rural charm for Mr and Mrs Chisholm. The Homestead boasted rustic features of hay bales on the tables and a large bar on barrels.
The wedding organiser, proud as punch, posted to Facebook: "Wow wow and wow, what a wedding we have just had. Matt waiting in the garden for his beautiful bride to walk towards him wearing her mother's wedding dress which she wore on the exact same date some 42 years ago. Totally moving and beautiful. Wonderful family and friends all celebrating Matt and Elle's wedding today on the most stunning Central Otago day."
The newlyweds responded to their wedding planner:
"Best venue ever! Judy you're a star!!!!!!! Best day of our lives. Thank you. Matt and Elle xx"
Yesterday, four months after telling Spy about their Never Never Land engagement in Los Angeles, former Shortland Street star and LA-based actor Harry McNaughton married boyfriend Koz Dickinson in Auckland, in what they nicknamed a Koha wedding. McNaughton was excited about his vows and admitted big names would be in attendance, but said he had not sold out to a magazine and would prefer not to commercialise his big day and didn't want to embarrass any of his guests by naming them.
Actresses Fleur Saville and Keisha Castle-Hughes attended the couple's engagement party. McNaughton did tell Spy it would be a very large, fun party. Dickinson is an international relations specialist and former diplomat.
To round off the happy news, Breakers star Tom Abercrombie announced Thursday night on Twitter that he and his wife Monique-Raquel, were new parents. "Happy to announce the safe arrival of the littlest Abercrombie to start the new year. Our life is complete!"
The Abercrombies married in a romantic and intimate ceremony in Fiji in March last year.
