On New Year's Eve, One News sports reporter and presenter Abby Scott and Institute of Golf director and professional coach, Guy Wilson, (former coach of Lydia Ko), were married in Havelock North, officiated by fellow
One News reporter and marriage celebrant, Matt McLean.
After their nuptials, the pair flew to Central Otago for the wedding of fellow TVNZ colleague and Seven Sharp journalist, Matt Chisholm, 38, and gorgeous fellow journalist Elle Cairns, 30, who now works as GM for Antipodeans Abroad. Monday's wedding was at The Homestead in Omakau, a place the pair said was special to them.
Before the big day they enjoyed plenty of outdoor fun with friends and family. Other past and present TVNZ alumnae also made the trip to the beautiful region, including former Close Up and Seven Sharp producer Mike Valintine, reporter Gill Higgins and former reporter Hannah Ockelford. Spy hears some of the team nearly didn't make it as their plane was diverted to Christchurch due to a medical emergency and they had to drive the rest of the way.
The day after the wedding, Ockelford posted a picture from the Otago valleys of Chisholm, Higgins and Valintine. The picture was captioned "the old Close Up crew".
