He's the man sent to save Christchurch. The CEO of Fletcher Construction lives in Parnell with his lawyer wife Louise and their three children. When he isn't thinking building and infrastructure he likes to run marathons and catch snapper in the harbour.

Pop star and jewellery designer.

NZ Herald editor and father of five, including identical twins boys born last month.

18. Mark Jennings, 55
He grew up in Dunedin and is one of the best-respected journos in the country. Before moving to TV3, where he has been the long-standing director of news, Jennings worked at various television networks in Oz. He's married to Margarete and has two kids. Colleagues describe this silver fox as "a total professional", "considered", "very private" and "intense, sexy and a bit of a lone-wolf type". We just love his infectious giggle.

Formerly Mr Sam Hayes, this screenwriter and actor scooped the field at last year's Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards. Has just been awarded the Summer Residency at the Michael King Writers' Centre.

Director of Digital Mobile who drives a Porsche and lives in Herne Bay with his pooch. Has been romantically linked to Sally Ridge.

Police inspector who was at the forefront of last year's Aisling Symes investigation.

South African-born butterfly swimmer on the New Zealand Olympic team. One of the few guys who can make budgie smugglers look good.

Father-of-one broadcasting star with extensive interests from cricket to satire, ornithology and classical music. Currently touring with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra in Europe making a doco for Prime.

Model, TV presenter, DJ with his own radio show on George FM.

8. Mark Wallbank, 41
Co-owner of Ponsonby Road Bistro and Rocco and one of Auckland's most debonair men. Lives in French Bay with his partner Max Currie, a storyliner on Shortland St.

7. Jared Turner, 32
Actor who's featured on Go Girls, 30 Days of Night, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and TV3's new breakout drama The Almighty Johnsons.

6. Josh Emett, 37
Hamilton-born Michelin-star chef on the next series of MasterChef who counts Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing as colleagues. Runs Ramsay's Maze restaurants in Melbourne.

5. Kieran Price, 22
Red 11 model with an interest in landscape design.

4. Anthony Boric, 27
All Black hottie from good Croatian stock.

3. Phillipp Spahn, 26
German-born aspiring actor, model and owner of Ludus Magnus, a gladiator-style gym in the city.

2. Berridge Spencer, 40
Financial trader and heir. Lives a private life overseas but travels home to the North Shore regularly. Keen sailor, viticulturalist, helicopter pilot and history buff who holds a PhD in economics. A true gentleman, full of integrity and a loyal, compassionate friend.
