Heading the crew are Breakfast stars Jeremy Wells, Laura McGoldrick and Matt Heath. The party starts at the Hauraki Bar in Cook St at 5pm. Spy hears downing a drink is compulsory before the celebrity boat race. Afterwards, Auckland bars and clubs beware: the crew tend to pick up an entourage.
Last year at 2am Wells and Heath got a music jam session going with Leigh Hart and Mikey Havoc at a bar on K Rd, someone unnamed opened their home in the early hours and Heath, Hart and Wells ended up semi-naked in bed together.
As for this year, McGoldrick told Spy she was an expert at the all-nighter. "The boys don't think I can do it, but they forget I'm a seasoned all-night cricket watcher. Trust me I can outlast them."

Heath seems to still be damaged from last year. "It nearly killed me. If you stop refreshing even for half an hour you can get dangerous moments of clarity. One minute you're jumping around dressed entirely in Leigh Hart's wife's clothes having a great time then all of a sudden you realise you are dressed entirely in Leigh Hart's wife's clothes."
As for Wells, he is made of steel. Last year he staggered into the studio and filmed his Mike Hosking parody flawlessly.
