Spy: Miley Cyrus 'loved the NZ weed'

Twerking queen Miley Cyrus landed in Auckland to a media and fan frenzy for her Bangerz tour this week - but it wasn't just her usual crazy on-stage antics that made for good gossip during her whistle-stop stay.

Cyrus returned to her luxury Pullman Hotel suite after the Wednesday night's Vector Arena show with her entourage and a couple of lucky fans, including Auckland party girls Abbey Cameron and Emma Walsh - where Billy Ray Cyrus' controversial daughter proceeded to wind down with a joint.

Walsh tells Spy: "Miley was chill with the group. She laid low and didn't say much while we were in the hotel together but she said she loves New Zealand and wants to come back for the summer. We talked about MTV and she was just hanging out in baggy cut-offs and no shoes. She loved the New Zealand weed."

Cyrus is a well-known marijuana fan, previously admitting to smoking the drug.

And at a London concert in July she told her teen audience to quit smoking cigarettes and "start smoking weed instead ... because weed will keep you young and get you laid".

No word if that happened here, although Cyrus did stay in her room while the rest of the entourage partied at Roxy. She was due to fly out that night but cancelled her flights to spend an extra day in Auckland to explore Waiheke Island.
