Spy's favourite pocket rocket, ex-Shortland Street star Kim Crossman, has taken another step on her way to conquering Hollywood.
Crossman will be part of the E! Channel's first digital scripted series. The entertainment channel has picked up a series that fits with the times - Hashtaggers. The eight-episode comedy fromStun Creative is described as a hilarious look at a dysfunctional group of celebrity ghost tweeters and the repercussions their activities have on the entertainment industry.
The four mischievous "Hashtaggers" are led by Crossman, who plays Nikki Hart, described as an intense, natural-born leader. She is joined by Patty Guggenheim as the sarcastic and bohemian Milly Scharf, Peet Guercio as Colin Greenberg and ex-child star Carl Tart, who plays Kal Johnson, an ultra-cool hipster with a passion for pop culture and another natural-born leader.
"Back in LA and back at it," she posted to her website. "Stoked to have landed the lead role on E!'s first scripted comedy series Hashtaggers. The cast and crew are phenomenal and because all the cast has strong improv backgrounds we have spent the majority of the past week in hysterics, which in my opinion is the best problem to have, laughing too much."
Each episode runs 3-5 minutes and will be released simultaneously on E!'s social and digital platforms early next year.
