X Factor judge and Kiwi singing sensation Stan Walker looks set to wed.
When the 24-year-old performed at last weekend's NRL Nines in Auckland, Spy spotted his beautiful girlfriend, Lou Tyson, clapping proudly a couple of rows from the front, with noticeable bling on her engagement finger.
Sources close tothe set of X Factor, which debuts next Sunday, have fuelled the speculation, and Walker's Sydney manager, David Champion, played what could be called the artful dodger on the topic.
Walker's career has gone from strength to strength since he won Australian Idol in 2009, and he made his acting debut in 2013 as Turei, a potato contractor from Pukekohe, in the Kiwi movie Mount Zion.
Spy broke the news he and Tyson were dating in November 2013. Since then they have become one of Auckland's hottest couples. Tyson is a Wanganui girl who has studied business.
Walker loves it that her career has nothing to do with the fame game. Walker summed up his feelings beautifully for Tyson on social media recently. "She is my backbone, my love, my best mate, my best fan, my headache, my laughing partner, my annoying lil egg, my soft spot, my bro, my intelligence, my dream and so much more. Just wanted 2 let u all know I've got the best there is ... Chuuuuur".
Walker flew out to Sydney this week to finish recording his latest album. Spy is sure X Factor viewers will see one of the songs performed during the new season.
Walker's fans seem keen for him to make the news official - when he posts loved-up pics of the pair to Facebook, the images are met with congratulations and questions about when they are going to wed.
