Spotify reveals its most-streamed artists in NZ

Kiwi music fans can't get enough of Ed Sheeran and Lorde, new statistics from Spotify show.

British pop star Sheeran has been named as Spotify's most-streamed artist for the second year running, the online streaming service confirmed today.

Sheeran is also Spotify's most-streamed artist of all time, with a whopping three billion song streams to date.

The most-streamed New Zealand artist of 2015 was Lorde, and the most-streamed New Zealand song was Six60's Special.

Six60 also topped the album streaming charts, thanks to their second album, Six60.

The most-streamed song overall went to Lean On, Major Lazer's collaboration with MO and DJ Snake. Lean On is also Spotify's most-streamed song of all time.
