Guitar hero Slash has slammed his younger contemporaries, insisting today's rock stars lack the work ethic of the legends.
The former Guns N' Roses star believes many of modern rock's superstars are lazy and simply want to make as much money as quickly as possible and retire.
He gripes, "Kids
these days just want to grab a bunch of cash, do as little work, with as little integrity as possible, and just f****** retire, man.
"You wanna know why I got into this business? Because I loved playing. I loved doing concerts. I loved recording. And that's still what I'm in it for today."
Slash tells Independent.ie that he would make sure his own kids were rocking for the right reasons if they chose to follow their dad into the industry.
