The countdown for summer is on, and now there's even more to look forward to.
Raglan-based music festival Soundsplash is returning in 2017 with the likes of Six60, Maala and Diaz Grimm ready to wow the crowds. The three-day festival will boast 40 artists across three stages in January, keepingthe summer vibes going long after New Year's.
With a mix of local and international acts, Soundsplash is an all-ages event, which showcases acts across many genres, from hip-hop, drum 'n' bass, electro-pop and EDM to reggae.
The first line-up includes: Six60, Little Bushman, State of Mind, Three Houses Down, Ed Solo, Pacific Heights, Maala, Drax Project, Diaz Grimm, Mike Love, My Baby, YT, Ocean Alley, Yoko-Zuna & Third3ye, Dubsonic, and Jamin-I.
The festival aims to capture the best of what a New Zealand summer has to offer, pitching the festival along the coastline of the Wainui Reserve.
