Singer prefers spending time with girlfriends to securing cool date

She is a role model for millions of her young fans around the world.

But Taylor Swift isn't so sure she wants to set the example for youngsters of her own.

The 24-year-old has revealed that she is uncertain about both marriage and family, as she graces the November cover of InStyle. The Shake It Off hit-maker told the magazine: "I don't know if I'll have kids."

Swift believes being in the limelight may prevent any offspring from having a normal life.

"It's impossible not to picture certain scenarios and how you would try to convince them that they have a normal life when, inevitably, there will be strange men pointing giant cameras at them from the time they are babies."

It isn't just having children that the pop-country megastar is unsure about - she also revealed she isn't quite ready for marriage either.

Swift told InStyle: "I'm too young to get married."

She added, "Not agewise, but I know myself, so why try to meet someone right now when I know I'm too young to do something serious?"

On the front of the magazine, Swift cuts a stylish figure dressed exclusively in Louis Vuitton as she poses with one hand on her hip.

The star has recently revealed that she has not actively dated for well over a year and a half, keeping her focus on friends and family.

She maintains that Lorde and other girlfriends such as Girls creator Lena Dunham and actress/model Jaime King are "the most important thing to me right now".
