Shock! George Clooney 'married'?

Self-proclaimed bachelor George Clooney has tied the knot at last - on screen at least.

The Hollywood heart throb, appears in the latest commercial for Norwegian bank DNB which plays on the 50-year-old's aversion to settling down in real life.

The ad begins with a woman waking up disorientated and alone in a hotel room before discovering a giant diamond on her finger and a white gown disregarded on the floor.

"I was letting you sleep," Clooney says as he enters the room before showing her a photo of the home he was looking at on the internet.

"For us," he says.

The ad ends with the line: 'Some people are lucky in life. For the rest of us, saving up can be smart'.

The actor recently split from long-term girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis and is currently dating former wrestler Stacy Keibler.
