Following last week's bombshell audio recording of Mel Gibson's apparent verbal tirade against his ex girlfriend, a second sensational tape surfaces.

On the latest recording the actor allegedly admits to hitting former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva and threatens her.

In an eight minute recording, released by celebrity website RadarOnline, the Lethal Weapon star is apparently heard panting and shouting profane language, while threatening to wrap a bat around his ex-girlfriend's head.

"You need a f*****g bat on the side of the head. How about that?" a voice similar to Gibson's screams at a woman believed to be Grigorieva, who's also the mother of his 8-month-old daughter, Lucia.

Gibson, currently under investigation by the L.A. Sheriff's Department for domestic violence, then allegedly lashes out at his ex when she accuses him of having previously hit her and broken two of her teeth.

"What kind of man is that? Hitting a woman when she's holding a child in her hands? Breaking her teeth twice in the face! What kind of man is that?" she asks.

The male voice then responds and mocks her: "Oh, you're all angry now! You know what, you f******g deserved it!"

Astonishingly, Grigorieva maintains her calm during the altercation, while Gibson allegedly flies off the handle and becomes so enraged he's barely audible on occasion.

Grigorieva, who secretly recorded the phone call, then tells the man that he is "gonna answer one day" for his behaviour.

He replies: "I'll put you in a f*****g rose garden you ****. You understand that? Because I'm capable of it. You understand that?"

Grigorieva can then be heard telling him he needs medication and he allegedly snaps: "You need a f*****g doctor. You need a f*****g brain transplant. You need a f*****g soul. I need someone who f*****g treats me like a man."

He adds when she says she'll hang up on him: "Don't hang up on me! I have plenty of energy to drive over there. And I will! So just f*****g listen to me. Listen to my f*****g ranting! Shut the f*** up! You should just f*****g smile and **** me because I deserve it!"

When she says she'll call the police, he sneers, "You're in my house, honey..."

And at one point he admits, "My career is over" and "I have no friends."

Which is probably true - he was just dropped by his longtime talent agency

The man purported to be Gibson can then be heard telling Grigorieva that he has offered her nothing but "kindness".

"'I need someone who f*****g treats me like a man, like a human being, with kindness, who understands what kindness is because I f*****g bend over backwards with my ***** in a knot to do it all for her," he barks.

You can listen to the full audio recording below.

New audio rant

Last week, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department revealed that it is investigating Gibson over a possible domestic violence incident that allegedly occurred in January involving Grigorieva.

Both have filed restraining orders against each other. Grigorieva filed a complaint on July 5 that has triggering the domestic violence investigation.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department refused to confirm whether the new recording would become part of that investigation.

And while the investigation trundles on, Hollywood is shunning the shamed actor.

One source tells The Hollywood Reporter: "There's nothing to do for Mel Gibson at the moment. No one will touch him with a 10-foot pole. He'll make his own movies, but you don't commission those anyway."

A studio chief adds: "I wouldn't make a movie with him if he were the last actor on the planet. There were five minutes when we were saying, 'Maybe we should give this guy a break,' and that's gone. No one will touch him.'

Gibson and Grigorieva are both due in court on July 20 over their respective restraining orders.

Bottom line: That rant is absolutely disgusting and deplorable. During my 15 years in the entertainment industry, I've never wrapped my ears around anything so vile and repulsive.

There's never any justification for that kind of behaviour. Ever.

While dissecting the latest Gibson bombshell my mind wandered back to a comment Grigorieva made about her split from the actor back in April.

Questioned about the surprise split during a press conference, she said:

"I can tell you that...we have split up, suddenly and recently. Unfortunately, I cannot give you the reason. But you will find out everything quite soon," she coyly revealed.

She wasn't kidding. But something tells me we've haven't heard the full horror story just yet.

What do you guys think? How should Gibson handle the heat on this one? He's so far remained tight-lipped and not issued a statement. And is his career over?

Lohan's leak

Troubled lass Lindsay Lohan might be heading for a 90-day stint in the slammer, but, as most pundits are saying, it could ultimately be the making of her. A cattle-prodding reality check if ever there was one.

Well, if her leaked new single is anything to go by, LiLo might just be ready to redeem herself.

The troubled starlet's new track, poignantly titled Too Young To Die, dropped on Friday.

has finally faced the truth and admitted what we've known all along - she's a "product".

During a recent interview, Price admitted that she's a shameless self-promoter, spurred on by her fans.

She told

Sky News

: "It's the public and all of my fans that keep me going - there's obviously still an interest in me.

"I am a product, but I do have the final say in what I do. I don't want to be a goody two shoes all the time."

According to the

"My client Jude Law issued proceedings against Blake Publishing and Sadie Frost, as he was concerned about certain passages in Ms Frost's forthcoming autobiography as well as the proposed publication of photographs of his children," said a statement from Law's legal muscle.

Won't be much of a tell-all then. Expect some vanillafied pulp of the highest order.
