Less than one week after confirming they were dating again, Ruby Rose and The Veronicas' Jess Origliasso have gone one step further and posted a picture of themselves in bed.

Clad only in racy lingerie, the actress and pop star posed with their eyes closed and using a giant teddy bear as a pillow.

Ruby captioned the loved-up image: "#Onyourside...stay tuned," in a nod to the Veronicas' latest single On Your Side, no doubt hinting at the release for the music video for the song.

The couple, who dated back in 2008, "reconnected" here in New Zealand earlier this month.

After the story broke, the 31-year-old singer told NovaFM's Kent 'Smallzy' Small they'd fallen back in love during filming on the On Your Side video, which Rose directed, co-wrote and starred in.

"It's me. Me and Ruby Rose. And it is our love story in this video," Jess said.

"We've been friends for eight years. We just reconnected over doing this video. We sort of just fell in love. It's pretty cute, honestly.

"We support each other in our careers and we support one another and be there. It made sense to be able to come out on that level because we want to be there in each other's lives on a public level."

Jess also explained it was all about timing.

"It's just this crazy thing when you care about someone for so long and then you have the chance to reconnect," she said.

"We've grown up a lot, we met very early on. We were very different people - we were babies!"
