Nearly seven years after their debut New Zealand concerts, Pixies are coming back.
A staple in the music scene for some 30 years, the band last performed here to sell-out crowds for two Auckland shows in March 2010 and a Christchurch date that August.
Now, off the back of theirlatest album Head Carrier, Black Francis, David Lovering and Joey Santiago are returning and welcoming bassist Paz Lenchatin to the Pixies' permanent line-up.
They'll play Christchurch's Horncastle Arena on March 9, Wellington's TSB Arena on March 10 and Auckland's Vector Arena on March 11.
