Pop star Robbie Williams made a 94-year-old superfan’s Christmas wish come true when he surprised her with a video call.
Norma, who lives in a rest home in the United Kingdom, was seen in a viral video looking excited and delighted to be chatting to her favourite singer.
“Hello thereRobbie, I have followed you on the television since you were in Take That,” she told the singer, who beamed in from his home in the United States.
“He was in America, laid out on the bed,” Norma told the BBC.
“I nearly said to him you could have got done up for me!”
Williams, 51, said he’d try to pop in and visit Norma in person when he visits the UK next, to which she responded, “I’d be king of the castle”.
The special moment was arranged by fitness influencer Bailey Greetham, who runs health and wellbeing classes with the residents at Humberston House Care Home in North East Lincolnshire.
The home arranged for Norma to attend a Robbie Williams tribute show, however, Norma told Greetham she was “upset because it’s not the real Robbie”.
Greetham told the BBC he happened to have video recording equipment handy and recorded a video of Norma talking about her “life’s wish” to meet “our Robbie”.
“We put it on the internet and it got a million views and Robbie was tagged 5000 times,” he said.
The “heart-warming” clip eventually reached Williams via his daughter, helping turn the moment into reality.

“We actually made it happen,” Greetham wrote in an Instagram post, acknowledging his followers for their part in creating the viral moment.
He said Norma and Williams chatted for more than 20 minutes and called the singer, “the most genuine caring guy we’ve met”.
“I was absolutely amazed, I really was surprised,” Norma said.
“Nothing like this has happened to me before.”
“Robbie still doesn’t realise how special he is to everyone,” one Facebook user wrote about the viral moment.
“Just a minute out of your day can change someone’s life, well done Robbie,” another wrote.
The Angels singer ended off the call telling Norma he hoped to catch up with Norma in 2026.
Williams had a huge 2025 - he released his biopic Better Man, became a FIFA music ambassador, and his highly-anticipated Britpop album is set for a February release.
