They insist they're just friends, but exes Chris Brown and Rihanna continue to drop major hints that they are back on.

On Saturday, the Unapologetic songbird, 24, tweeted a photo of what appears to be Brown, 23, lying shirtless, face-down in an unmade bed covered in Simpsons memorabilia.

The Diamonds singer posted the picture via Instagram and accompanied it with the caption: "Dis n****....... #BartObsessed".

Although Brown's face isn't visible, his tattooed arms and back are in full view, as are his boxers and Bart Simpson jacket.

Brown tweeted a snap of himself wearing the same jacket hours earlier.

The following day, Rihanna also shared a shirtless photo of herself on Instagram, writing, "#LondonNightLife."

The pair has certainly been spending a lot of time together recently.

After wrapping her whirlwind 777 tour last week, the pop princess jetted to Germany to spend Thanksgiving with Brown, where he was performing a concert as part of his Carpe Diem tour.

"All alone in my big ole jet!!! See u soon lover," the Rihanna tweeted on Wednesday.

According to E! News, the Nobody's Business twosome were papped hitting up Berlin's Adagio nightclub after his show. They later left the venue in the same car.

Chris Brown's Twitter tirade

Check out snaps of the pair partying together here.

But despite spending the holiday together (and recent bouts of PDA) the pair insists they have not rekindled their relationship.

Rihanna tackled the romance rumours during a recent Facebook Live chat with Bravo's Andy Cohen.

Asked point-blank if they were dating again, she replied "no".

She also offered praise for the Turn Up the Music singer.

"He's pretty dope, too," she said. "He's kinda alright."

Brown makes an appearance on Rihanna's new album, Unapologetic, in the duet Nobodies Business - a song the Barbadian singer said was a reaction to intense interest in her personal life.

"Nobody's business is basically the way I look at everything regarding my personal life," she said of the track.

"Even though you have to witness it as being documented at every second, it still is mine...When it [comes] to my music, I'll give and I'll give and I'll give. I just feel like I need to keep a little bit for me that I get to decide."

She added: "If I had it my way, it would be really nobody's business," the songstress said.

Check out her interview below:

Brown, for his part, also denies they're an item.

"Me and her have history, and me and her are definitely always going to be best of friends," he told Power 106 radio host Big Boy earlier this month. "We're working on our friendship now."

He continued: "As far as our personal life, I think people just got to give it a chance - or not even give it a chance, but shut the hell up.

"It's me. At the end of the day, whatever opinion they have ain't going to change nothing I'm doing."

Brown broke up with girlfriend Karrueche Tran last month.

BROWN DELETES TWITTER ACCOUNT AFTER SPAT

Another day, another Brown controversy.

Meanwhile, as of yesterday, Brown appears to have pulled the proverbial plug on his Twitter account - again. #Feud.

The singer entered into a vulgar war of words on the social networking platform yesterday, branding US comedy writer Jenny Johnson a "hoe" [sic].

It all kicked off after Brown tweeted "I look old as f***! I'm only 23..." to which Johnson replied, "I know! Being a worthless piece of s**t can really age a person."

And it all went downhill from there.

Brown then wrote back, branding her a "pathetic b***h" and a "HOE", while suggesting she perform a sex act on him.

Johnson then corrected the singer's spelling - - "It's 'HO' not 'HOE' you ignorant f***" she wrote - and linked to a news story that featured graphic details of his attack on Rihanna.

Brown pleaded guilty to brutally assaulting Rihanna on the eve of their appearances at the Grammys in 2009. He was sentenced to five years of probation for the incident.

Countered Brown: "Just ask Rihanna if she mad??????"

"Your mom must be so proud of you," replied Johnson.

She later added: "Okay. I'm done. All I got from that exchange with Chris Brown is that he wants to s**t and f**t on me.

"I have zero respect for a person who seems unapologetic for the terrible crime he committed and shows no signs of changing."

Adding, "It's alarming how many death threats I'm receiving via @ replies. I encourage everyone, including @Twitter to look through them. Not cool."

According to The Sun, Riahnna allegedly got involved in the dispute at one point by uploading an image of the conversation to her Instagram page, writing "How does one find the time? We gotta do better than this." She later deleted the post.

Meanwhile, Brown told his followers, "To teambreezy... Know that I'm not upset. Just felt like entertaining the ignorance. These b*****s crazy.. Further proved my point of how immature society is. #CarpeDiem...Catch me in traffic..."
