A hiker in Oregon has found the boot Reese Witherspoon tossed into the wilderness while filming Wild.

Shot in late 2013, Witherspoon threw the hiking boot down a mountain in a moment of movie madness.

Now Chris Kesting has found the odd keepsake after recognising the Mount Hood trail where the actress shot the scene.

In the movie adaptation of the bestselling memoir Wild, Witherspoon plays author Cheryl Strayed - a role which earned the actress and Oscar nomination.
