"I asked her yesterday, 'Yo, did I rape you the first time we ever had sex?' And she goes, 'I mean in hindsight, yeah…'"
The rapper has since apologised for his comments about rape on the Brilliant Idiots podcast, saying he "communicated that wrong".
"I didn't get it right for that one," Charlamagne said. "I want people to learn from my ways. Don't have sex with a woman who is … incoherent in any way. Leave her alone."
It's not the first time Charlamagne has come under fire for comments he has made about past sexual encounters.
In 2015, the rapper told a story on his Brilliant Idiots podcast about having sex with a woman who wasn't "coherent".
Charlamagne said they both took the aphrodisiac drug Spanish Fly and had consensual sex, but she didn't remember the encounter the next day.
Earlier this month accusations Charlamagne raped a woman in 2001 when he was 22 and she was 15 resurfaced — claims which he denies.
In 2002 the radio personality, who hosted the party where the woman was allegedly raped, pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor as part of a plea agreement over the incident, Billboard reported.
