Rapper 50 Cent to take on Predator movie revamp

50 Cent has movie monster the Predator in his sights after revealing he has landed a role in director Shane Black's remake.

The Iron Man 3 filmmaker is also reportedly trying to recruit Arnold Schwarzenegger for his revamp.

In an interview with DJ Enuff from Sirius XM's Shade 45 radio show, the rapper was asked about his movie plans.

"I'll be doing some new feature films and stuff like that too," he said. "I'm gonna do Predator."

50 didn't expand on his role in the movie.

Schwarzenegger starred in the original Predator in 1987, which was directed by John McTiernan. The last film in the franchise was 2010's Predators, which featured Adrien Brody and Laurence Fishburne.

Black's new film is slated to hit cinemas in 2018.
