"This is about to get real embarrassing" says Katy Perry at the beginning of her surprise cover of Ni**as in Paris, Jay-Z and Kanye West's megahit from their joint Watch the Throne album.
Looks like she got that right.
Perry, performing during a live session on BBC Radio 1, shocked
fans with her cover of the pair's hyped rap song, in which she changed the lyrics to "ninjas in London" and censored all of the song's swear words.
Fans have slammed her version, criticising her use of what appears to be a British accent.
"What's up with the semi-British accent?" asked one commentator on YouTube, despite the song having more likes than dislikes.
