Fallen star Sean Young is wanted for questioning after cops say she was seen on surveillance video stealing thousands of dollars worth of laptops from a store in New York City.
Once a big star in the 1980s and 1990s, playing the iconic role of Rachel in Blade Runner and Ray Finkle in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Young's increasingly erratic behavior over the years has seen a dramatic fall from grace.
Now the 58-year-old actress is wanted by police for burglary after she was caught on camera breaking into a School of Old store in Queens, at around noon on Thursday with a male companion.
The pair reportedly made off with two Apple laptops and video production software worth about US$12,000, the DailyMail reports.
The 58-year-old, who has battled with alcoholism in the past, had reportedly been working at the store but was fired several months ago,TMZ reports.
The NYPD confirmed to DailyMail.com that they are seeking Young and the other male suspect, but no arrests have yet been made.
A representative for Young did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
Young shot to fame in 1982 playing Harrison Ford's replicant love interest in the original Blade Runner movie and once looked set for a sparkling Hollywood career. But years of alcoholism, bizarre behavior and run-in with the police have robbed her of those opportunities.
Her last roles consisted of a bit part on TNT's The Alienist and co starring in budget horror movie flop Escape Room. She did appear in the 2017 sequel Blade Runner 2049 but was brought back digitally, through a touch of movie magic, as her younger self to play the ageless replicant.
The actress, who has all but dropped out of the celebrity scene, had a run-in with the law in 2012 when she was arrested for allegedly slapping a security guard.
TMZ claimed the drama unravelled after Young tried to get into the Governor's Ball post-Oscars party without a ticket. It is alleged she slapped a security guard after she returned to try and get in a second time and was led away by security.
Young was then arrested and taken away by police and booked for battery.
The incident was not her first issue at an Oscars after party. She tried to get into a Vanity Fair party by sneaking in behind Jennifer Aniston in 2006.
But she was escorted out by four guards when spotted by security. Young said of that incident: 'It was degrading. But when you have nothing to lose, it's really not that big of a deal.'
Young last made headlines last year during the Me Too movement when she accused disgraced Miramax producer Harvey Weinstein of exposing himself to her.
