Pics: The wacky and wonderful AMAs red carpet

The red carpet at music awards' allow fashion to push boundaries - for the weird, the wacky, the chic and the sultry to step out - and the AMAs have not let us down.

Who caught our eye:

- Miley Cyrus super stylish in a a simple white suit. Her dad, Billy Ray, on the other hand, oozed mutton dressed as lamb.

- Katy Perry looking prim and proper in a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta gown and quirky dictionary purse.

- Taylor Swift sexing it up in a foxy gold mini-dress and shaggy do.

- Lady Gaga can't be missed, arriving in a lavender gown atop a huge, human-operated white horse.

- Nicole Richie's bronze skin, a perfect fit for her cut-out white dress with heavy gold bling and feathered purse.

Most of the year's top performers are scheduled to take the stage in tonight's awards show, including Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line and top nominees Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
