In a letter sent to the Prime Minister today, the Hollywood star and one-time Playboy Playmate congratulates Mr Morrison on his appointment and says they share something in common.

"Congratulations on your appointment as Prime Minister!Australia is one of my favourite places to visit. I read your maiden speech and was glad to see that we share the same strong principles of justice and compassion," writes Anderson.
Anderson, an honorary director of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals who famously posed nude to support various PETA campaigns, then calls on ScoMo to act on live animal exports.
"Today, I'm writing to ask that you put your compassion into action by ending the live-animal export industry."
The US-Canadian starlet says a petition signed by 238,000 people calling for an end to the practise was recently sent to "your parliament". Yet, she adds, a livestock export license has just been issued to a subsidiary of a company linked to the Emanuel Exports disaster (in which she claims more than 2400 sheep died in transit last year).
"With your expertise in economics and tourism, surely you can see that this industry is on shaky ground and a stain on Australia's global reputation," Anderson, a self-described "naughty vegan", writes.

"You now have the power to make the compassionate and logical move that your predecessor did not.
"The people of Australia believe that live export must end, and I fully support them. Please ban this cruel industry."
According to PETA, more than 200 million animals have been crammed onto filthy cargo ships bound from Australia to the Middle East over the last 30 years, and in excess of 2.5 million of them have died in transit, typically as a result of cramped conditions, poor ventilation, and soaring temperatures.
Anderson, who will appear on 60 Minutes for an exclusive interview on Sunday, has worked with designer Stella McCartney on PETA efforts to discourage other designers from using fur in their clothing lines.
