It was one of very few scenes in Once Were Warriors which actually made you feel warm and fuzzy; the scene in which Jake and Beth sing Here Is My Heart together at a party has become an iconic one.
So when Temuera Morrison and Rena Owen reunited on thelatest episode of Anika Moa's chat show All Talk, they simply had to recreate the moment.
On the show, Morrison spoke a bit about going to the Cannes film festival, and how he and Cliff Curtis were snubbed while Rena Owen was welcomed with open arms because they played the film's bad guys.
He also went on to reveal that Mamaengaroa Kerr-Bell didn't audition to play Jake and Beth's daughter Gracie. She was actually waiting for a friend outside when she was spotted and brought in for the role.
However, impatient to get to the good stuff, Anika Moa cut into his story saying: "Hey, do you want to re enact that scene? I've got my guitar here."
After reciting the famous line, "Give us a G", Morrison launched into the song with Owen and Moa joining in later.
