2014 has been ... a massive year for House of Shem! We have been nominated for two Tuis and three Maori music awards, and completed a tour throughout mainland US and Hawaii.
Why are you looking forward to getting out on tour this summer?
We love soaking up the summervibes - everyone is out to have fun and you can't beat a beach vibe, with some refreshments and sweet reggae music.
New Zealand is the best place to tour because ...
There is nothing like touring this beautiful country: waking up, having some eggs on toast or baked beans, and looking at our lovely scenery. Another highlight is seeing all our family in the different towns, and the local crowd always goes hard.
Lots of the songs Papa Carl wrote with the band Herbs. They are classics and everyone knows them. There is no need for us to play covers, because Dad has those songs to play!
