Olivia Newton-John is in shock after a man reportedly shot himself at her home.
The Grease actress and her husband, John Easterling, were out of town when the man - who they had hired as a contractor - reportedly died at their Jupiter Inlet Colony house in Florida.
A spokespersonfor the couple told Entertainment Tonight: "Olivia and her husband John are in shock over the tragic event that occurred at their Florida home yesterday. At this time we are awaiting additional information from investigators but, can confirm that the couple was not in Florida at the time and, the deceased was not a family member."
The local police department's spokesperson, Sergeant Scott Pascarella told UsMagazine.com: "The deceased is a 42-year old white male, hired as a contractor by the residents. We'll be releasing his identity subsequent to the outcome of the autopsy."
The $5.6 million property is the same house that Newton-John is in the process of selling to Rosie O'Donnell and her wife Michelle Rounds.
The couple were originally looking for a property to purchase for O'Donnell's mother, Roseann, but fell in love with the Glee star's home after viewing it and are now planning to renovate it for themselves and their children.
John previously confirmed the deal is in the works but added: "Nothing's done until it's signed, sealed and delivered."
