His attendance could have served as an interesting olive branch considering the brothers' acrimonious split in 2009.
In a statement at the time, Noel said: "I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer" after reports the brothers ended up in a fight backstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.
However, Noel recently showed a change of heart when he admitted he would considering reforming the band for financial reasons.
"If I was ever going to do it, it would only be for the money," Noel told Q in January.
Since their split, neither has managed to reach the dizzying heights they had together and Liam's last band, Beady Eye, split last year.
