Shortland Street star and Flava radio host Pua Magasiva has taken to social media to share the news his motorbike stolen from him early July, is not going to be paid out by his insurance company NAC.
The Kiwi actor had been enjoying some holiday time in the Gold Coastwhen he found out his Triumph 2016 Street Twin motorbike had been stolen from his garage.
The bike is worth close to $16,000.
The 36-year-old said in yesterday's video "I received some bad news today. My insurance company NAC who was covering my bike that got stolen aren't paying me out, because of a clause they say."
According to Magasiva, the insurance company have advised the garage it was removed from should have been locked. He has since cancelled his policy with NAC.
He told the Herald he is looking in to appealing the decision.
The actor had initially expressed his deep frustration through a video on social media after learning the bike had been stolen and offered a reward for the return or information leading to the return of his favourite bike.
"I'm going to find out who you are ... I'm probably the worst person to have stolen a bike from," Magasiva said.
Remarkably, in his new video, Magasiva is calm despite the bad news, "I'm pretty gutted, but it made me think about how fortunate I am to be able to have the work that I do and to be able to have the things I work hard for."
He said he hopes justice comes to those who do bad things and that everyone should appreciate what they have.
