With her eyes screwed up and crying out in pain, it is clear that Adele is no big fan of the gym.
The singer posted a picture of herself grimacing as she worked out on Wednesday, pulling on an elasticated rope.
The 27-year-old's usual false eyelashes and glossy bob
(inset) were nowhere to be seen. Instead, her hair was scraped back and she was dressed from head to toe in black workout gear.
The black-and-white photo made for a refreshing change from the usual glamorous workout pictures uploaded by celebrities and no doubt struck a chord with others flocking to the gym this January.
