Barry interviews Chris Pratt & Elizabeth Banks for Lego Movie 2.
My name is Barry Heath, I'm 9 years old and come from Auckland. A few weeks ago, I was asked to fly to Hollywood to interview Chris Pratt and the other actors for The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. We were also invited to the premiere.
This was amazing asme and my brother Charlie loved the first Lego Movie. We've watched it 1000 times. Also, Chris Pratt is awesome in the Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Also, also, my favourite TV show is Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa Diaz) is in the movie too and I got to meet her. So much good luck.

Mum and Dad only told me three days before that we were going. I was the most excited I've ever been. Like Christmas eve but even more exciting and for three nights. On the flight, I stayed up all night watching TV shows that I kind of regret watching because they were quite average.
Our hotel in LA had a massive pool on the roof. Mum bought an inflatable unicorn from home. It's now a well-travelled unicorn.
The premiere was at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Blvd. The movie was so great. You didn't really expect most of the things that happened. I told Chris Pratt it was equal to the first but completely different. He said: "it's hard to do that in the sequel, to not to repeat everything that was good in the first, then it's just a redo of the first one, we like to say we give you what you want not what you expect".
After the movie, back at the hotel, we ordered cheeseburgers and ice-cream on room service. Using the movie company money. It arrived when we were asleep. We ate it for breakfast. It was delicious and nutritious.

Before the interviews, I couldn't believe it was going to happen. Then suddenly I was in a room with Chris Pratt. I have seen him a million times but now he was real. He and Elizabeth Banks were extremely nice and friendly. Chris Pratt is both Emmet and Rex Dangervest in the movie. I asked what it was like having a Lego figurine of yourself, he said: "It's a very special feeling, you feel very lucky".
They had theirs in their pockets. Elizabeth Banks said: "I feel like I helped create Lucy Wyldstyle and now she has a bow and arrow". Then they swapped pants and heads and hair with each other's figures.
The interview ended with Chris Pratt saying: "Barry, I like you". My brother snuck into the room too and Chris chatted to both of us when the cameras weren't on. He is extremely nice and really fun. But he's an MCU and DC superhero so it's like you are a lesser being in his presence.
Next was Will Arnett - the voice of Batman - and Tiffany Haddish who plays Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi. Will talked just like Batman. I asked him if he thought Gotham from The Batman Lego Movie was affected by what happened in the Lego Movie 2? He said: "Seriously that's a great question because you're like stretching the boundaries of what is real within the two universes".

Tiffany Haddish said: "It does, I was there" and made me say "they're making a Batman Lego Movie 2" over and over again, telling me I was speaking it into existence. Will Arnett joked in a serious voice not to listen to her because "she doesn't even know what camera to look at or what day it is".
I told him Batman was probably my favourite character in the movie. He said: "Barry is my best friend in New Zealand". Which probably isn't true but was still an awesome thing to hear. Will Arnett is funny and nice. But like Chris Pratt he's a higher being.
Charlie told me to stop jiggling my legs so much in the interviews. Which was so hard because it's so exciting to meet these people.
I did it worst of all in the next room because it was Stephanie Beatriz who plays General Sweet Mayhem. I was extremely excited to meet her. Her real voice is different from Rosa on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Rosa is really deep and dark. But in real life, she's the polar opposite. She was really high and happy. So she did her Rosa voice for me. We talked about her childish space ship noises in the movie too, which are great.
Going to the Lego Movie 2: The Second Part premiere and doing interviews was one of the luckiest things I've ever done. Everyone was so nice to me and the movie was extremely funny and good. They go to space, they time travel, they listen to lots of music. I can't wait to see it again.
On the flight home, I once again watched some terrible stuff. My only regret from the entire trip was my flight viewing choices.
