Nikki Glaser will return to host the Golden Globes for a third time next year.
The 41-year-old comedian was a hit during her turn as the first female solo host of a Golden Globes telecast in 2025 and was swiftly invited back for the 2026 ceremony. After again winning praisefor her stint at the helm in January’s ceremony, organisers have confirmed she will be back to anchor the 84th edition in 2027.
Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes organisation, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Nikki back to the Golden Globes stage in 2027.
“Her comedic precision, authenticity and ability to command the room is unmatched, and we can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for next year’s show.”
Glaser joked she hopes her parents will be proud of her for retaining the hosting slot.
“I’m thrilled to host the Golden Globes for a third time, not only because it’s the greatest gig I’ve ever had, but because my sister has three kids and now we will be equal in the eyes of my parents and the Lord,” she said.

After hosting this year’s Golden Globes, Glaser shared some details of the jokes she had decided to drop from her opening monologue, including one about Timothee Chalamet’s sex life.
She shared the joke during her appearance on The Howard Stern Show, saying: “Amy Poehler is here for her podcast Good Hang, which is what Timothee Chalamet says after sex.”
Despite this, Glaser still made a joke at the Golden Globes about the 30-year-old actor, who played a table tennis star in Marty Suprem.
“This is interesting, not a lot of people know this, but Timothee Chalamet is the first actor in history to have to put on muscle for a movie about ping pong. He gained over 60 ounces [1.7kg]! It’s insane!”
Glaser also planned to joke about Sydney Sweeney if she attended the ceremony.
The comedian planned to say: “Tonight is a night of celebration but we can’t ignore that it’s a weird time in Hollywood. People just aren’t going to the theatre to see things. If you don’t believe me, there was a movie this year where Sydney Sweeney played a lesbian who just bounced around in tiny shorts for two hours and it made US$14.”
She also dropped a joke about 62-year-old F1 star Brad Pitt.
She was going to say: “When a man turns 60, he gets to play a racecar driver. Meanwhile, after 35, every role for a woman is a tired mom who hates her life.
“Brad, you were so good enough when I was almost convinced that you’ve driven yourself somewhere in the last 30 years. But Brad did a lot of his own driving in the movie. And Brad, I don’t want to embarrass you, but your blinker was on the whole time.”
