Weather girl Renee Wright picked a perfect gap in the stormy weather for her Wairarapa wedding yesterday.

The TVNZ presenter married longtime beau Charlie Waide at a small local chapel before the happy couple traipsed down to the beach for photos.

The reception was held at the Wharekauhau Country Estate - one of New Zealand's most exclusive retreats, which advertises its wedding package at between $10,000 and $20,000 for the day, plus GST.

The lodge has hosted such VIPs as Bill Gates, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman and the Rolling Stones.

Wright told the New Zealand Woman's Weekly last year that Waide proposed by using their two dogs to bring her the ring.
