Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are getting paid an eye-watering amount to star in an upcoming Apple TV+ show.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, both actresses will be paid $2.9 million each per episode to appear in Morning Wars (which will be called The Morning Show in the US).
It's likely they'll pocket even more when producing fees and ownership points are factored in, according to the site.
Morning Wars will be available to stream on Apple TV+ when it launches in Australia on November 1.
Apple has ordered two seasons of the show with 10 episodes per season, meaning Aniston and Witherspoon are each set for a $58 million payday.
The pair's massive salaries are the main reason each episode of the show will cost Apple $22 million to make, according to THR.
In the highly anticipated show, Aniston is the host of a breakfast TV program called The Morning Show. When her co-host of 15 years (played by Steve Carell) gets embroiled in a sexual misconduct scandal and is fired, Aniston's character has to fight to retain her role on the show amid stiff competition from an up-and-coming journalist (played by Reese Witherspoon).
Apple TV+ will go live in more than 100 countries on November 1, and it will be priced at $7.99 a month for Australians. But if you want to check out what the fuss is all about first, there's a seven-day free trial.
Anyone who buys a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV console, iPod touch or Mac will get a free one-year subscription as a sweetener. Family Sharing will enable six people to share the same account.
