Nu-metal fans better get ready to go rollin' - Limp Bizkit have confirmed their first New Zealand performance in 16 years.
The American rock act, known for songs like Nookie and My Generation, will perform as part of the Storm the Gates Festival at Trusts Stadium in Auckland on March 17.
Also playing at the one-day event include Suicidal Tendencies, Skinny Hobos, Written By Wolves and City of Souls.
But all eyes will be on the Fred Durst fronted Limp Bizkit and their first performance here since the 2001 Big Day Out.
The band spearheaded the aggressive genre of music known as nu-metal, which took grunge's angst and added rap lyrics, metal aggression and DJ scratches.
Their most widely known for their 2000 record Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, but haven't released anything since the badly received 2011 album Gold Cobra.
Tickets for Storm the Gates go on sale this Friday from 9am. VIP passes are available.
