Broods have added a further three shows to their summer tour plans, but these three are a little different: they're free.

Thanks to iHeartRadio and 2degrees, Broods' duo of Caleb and Georgia Nott will headline shows in Hamilton, Christchurch and Wellington in December, then stick around for Q&A sessions with fans.

The acoustic shows will be held at Hamilton's Clarence St Theatre on December 6, the Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch on December 7, and at The Opera House in Wellington on December 8.

The shows come on the back of a big year for Broods, who released their second album Conscious in June, while the album's producer, Joel Little, recently took home awards for best engineer and producer at the NZ Music Artisan Awards.

It's not the only chance to see Broods play this summer. They're headlining the Electric Coastlands tour with Kings and Theia, in Riwaka on December 26, at the Mangawhai Tavern on January 3, the Coroglen Tavern on January 4 and at Mt Maunganui on January 5.
