The third time has proved to be the charm for Broods who just picked up the award for Best New Zealand Act at the MTV European Music Awards.

They missed out last year with the award going to rap legend Savage instead, and the year before that the award went to Lorde.
But this time the Nelson sibling duo - Caleb and Georgia Nott - beat out fellow nominees, Kiwi favourite Ladyhawke and relative newcomers Sachi, Maala and Kings for the win.
The pair - who are now living in Los Angeles and this year released their second album Conscious with the help of fellow Kiwi, producer Joel Little - took to Twitter to thank their fans for voting for them.
Broods were also recently announced to join hit artist Tove Lo on her European tour early next year, after headlining New Zealand's own Electric Coastline festival with Kings and Theia.
The other local acts recognised by MTV at the EMAs included Troye Sivan (Australia), Shawn Mendes (Canada), Zara Larsson (Sweden), Maluma (Columbia), Wizkid (Nigeria) and GOT7 (Korea) as the 'Best Worldwide Act' winners.
