Mark your calendars, hip hop fans because Method Man and Redman have just announced a one-off show in New Zealand this September.

The two rappers have squeezed in a Kiwi date on their Blackout Tour, celebrating both their first collaborative album - 1999's Blackout!, and the follow up to it - 2009's Blackout! 2.

Method Man has been on the scene since his time with the Wu-Tang Clan in the early 90s, before later going solo and then teaming up with Redman. He's also acted in a host of films and TV shows including How High, Garden State and HBO's The Wire.

And Redman - of Def Squad fame - released his debut album Whut? Thee Album in 1992 - around the same time as Method took off with Wu-Tang - and ushered in a new sound rooted in funk.

Now, you can see them both together at Auckland's Town Hall on September 6, with support from New Zealand's own DJ Sir-Vere and Team Dynamite.
