Following a rapturous reception at the Auckland Arts Festival earlier this year Don McGlashan and Shayne Carter have just announced a joint jaunt around the nation this October.

The tour begins in Wellingon on October 13, takes in all the main centres with a few pitstops along the way in towns like Nelson, Wanaka and Kerikeri before winding up in Leigh on October 30.

The concept for this collaboration is intriguing. Each selects a song from the others considerable catalogue that the pair then reinterpret live onstage.

Having penned such kiwi classics as Dominion Road (McGlashan) and She Speeds (Carter) it's inevitable that the odd hit gets slipped in.

But mostly the evening promises a journey into the deeper recesses of their extensive songbooks. Their appearance at the Festival seeing songs that hadn't been performed live in decades being given a dusting off for a thrilled audience.

That show sold out almost immediately so don't dillydally if this sounds like your bag. For a full tour schedule and tickets visit
