Two of the most anticipated docos - and the most anticipated horror film - of the year will be shown at this year's Autumn Event film festival, at the Civic and Academy Theatres.
Michael Moore's Where to Invade Next and West of Memphis director Amy Berg's Janis Joplin study Janis: Little Girl Blue are among the new films in the April programme.
So is The Witch, the acclaimed horror film about Puritans and diabolical possession in 1630s New England, which has been picking up considerable buzz since its US opening last month.
The full 13-film programme, which includes a mix of retrospective and restored titles and contemporary docos, will be revealed on Saturday.
The Autumn Event is run by the New Zealand International Film Festival. It screens at the Civic in Auckland from April 14-17 and has some supplementary screenings at the Academy in the following weeks.
